Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of cert2hire. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

cert2hire is an online study platform for IT certification exams. We provide curated practice questions, performance-based simulations, video lessons, an AI-powered tutor, and access to digital ebooks, video courses, and virtual lab vouchers from third-party vendors.

We are not affiliated with CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, Amazon, or any other certification vendor. cert2hire is an independent study platform.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your password confidential.
• All activity that happens under your account.
• Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may have only one account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including (but not limited to) account sharing, harvesting questions to redistribute, or attempting to bypass our security.

3. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• Copy, redistribute, or resell any cert2hire questions, PBQs, video lessons, or ebooks.
• Scrape, mirror, or use automated tools to extract content.
• Share your account credentials with anyone else.
• Use the AI tutor for non-study purposes, abuse, or harmful content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or compromise the service.
• Use the service to violate any law in your jurisdiction.

4. Credits, purchases, and subscriptions

Credits are an in-platform currency used for taking exams, asking the AI tutor, and generating flashcards. New accounts receive a free starting balance. You can earn additional credits via daily login bonuses, streaks, and referrals. Credits have no cash value, are not refundable, and cannot be transferred between accounts.

One-time purchases (ebooks, video courses, lab vouchers, etc.) are non-refundable once delivered, except where required by law. If a product cannot be delivered (eg. a virtual lab voucher is unavailable), we will issue a full refund.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until cancelled. You can cancel from your billing portal at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.

All prices are shown in US Dollars and exclude taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.

5. Refunds

For digital products, we offer a 7-day refund window from the date of purchase, provided you have not consumed substantial value (eg. read more than 25% of an ebook, taken more than 3 exam sessions backed by a past-questions purchase). Subscription refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

6. Third-party content and virtual labs

Some products (eg. virtual lab vouchers) are fulfilled by third-party vendors. By purchasing, you also agree to that vendor's terms of service. cert2hire is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or licence-key lifetime of third-party content beyond reasonable effort.

7. AI tutor disclaimer

The AI tutor is powered by large language models. It is helpful but not infallible. Always cross-reference important answers against official exam objectives. cert2hire is not liable for any inaccuracy in AI-generated explanations.

8. Intellectual property

All cert2hire content (questions, PBQs, lessons, illustrations, source code) is © cert2hire. You receive a limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to access it for personal study only.

You retain ownership of anything you write in the AI tutor or post as feedback. By submitting it, you grant us a licence to use it to operate and improve the service.

9. Service availability and changes

We aim for 99.5% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. If a paid feature is materially reduced, you can request a pro-rata refund for the unused portion.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile page or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

On termination, your access to paid content ends. Your study history is retained for 90 days in case you reactivate, then permanently deleted.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is”. We make no warranty that practising on cert2hire guarantees you will pass any specific exam. We make no warranty of fitness for any particular purpose.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, cert2hire's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which cert2hire is registered. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first; if that fails, by binding arbitration.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you via your account email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
